Remembrance Day Assembly 2022
The Grade 5 class hosted a beautiful and solemn school assembly for Remembrance Day Thursday, Nov. 10. With each student doing his/her part, an atmosphere of reverence and respect was present in the church and felt by the entire community. The school welcomed Captain Marte Rosales of the Canadian Armed Forces, heard a brief history of the World Wars, the recital of In Flanders Fields by John McRae, and the school sang The Prayer of St. Francis. Those assembled observed two minutes of prayerful and contemplative silence, and a message of peace was conveyed through song and prayer. Mr. Logan provided the musical accompaniment for the assembly, including the playing of The Last Post and Reveille. Father Ignacy, our new pastor, graced us with a final blessing. Thank you to the parents and friends who were able to attend. Lest We Forget.
