Remembrance Day Assembly 2019
The Grade Five class hosted a beautiful and solemn school assembly for Remembrance Day Friday, Nov. 8. With each student doing his/her part, an atmosphere of reverence and respect was present in the room and felt by the entire community. The school heard a brief history of the World Wars and the recital of In Flanders Fields by John McRae, and the choir sang Dona Nobis Pacem. Those assembled observed a minute of prayerful and contemplative silence, and a message of peace was conveyed through song and prayer. Ms. Elsworth and our school choir provided the musical accompaniment for the assembly. Thank you to the parents who were able to attend. Lest We Forget.
