SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
Thank you to all who supported our Scholastic Book Fair last week! All proceeds go directly to purchasing books for our school library. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped make the fair so successful!
ADVENT EVENING OF SONG & PRAYER
St. Augustine School is excited to have you at this year’s Advent Evening of Song & Prayer December 12 at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:30pm.
Your classroom teacher has sent you information about class costumes for the evening. Please, contact your teacher if you have any questions.
It is our custom to take up a collection for the Oblate Missions. Over time, our school contributions have made a significant difference for the lives of people in Kenya by helping to build a school, ensure clean water systems are built and maintained, and supported many other services. Donation envelopes were sent home with your children. Please, place your donation in the donation envelope and place it in the collection baskets at the concert. There will be a collection midway through the evening. We will forward all contributions to the MAMI Offices in Saskatchewan. A tax receipt will be issued by them for all donations of $20.00 or more. Please, ensure that you provide your name and address if you wish to receive a tax receipt. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Again, we are looking forward to seeing you Thursday evening.

FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
Sunday, December 8, is the FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION. In Christian theology, the Immaculate Conception is the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary free from original sin by virtue of the merits of her son Jesus. The Catholic Church teaches that God acted upon Mary in the first moment of her conception, keeping her "immaculate".
