The Fall Campaign in 2013 raised a total of $309,063 from 220 donors. As in past years, donations from the parish and the school were split roughly equally. We are deeply grateful to the contributions of so many within our St. Augustine's community, both parents with children at school and parishioners without children, or whose children no longer attend school.

The participation rate of parents increased to 70% this year, and while we have work to do to reach our goal of 100% parent participation, we did increase over the 2012 rate. Importantly, Grades K, 1 and 2 all were around or above 90% participation, a good sign for the future. Each year, we ask parents to make the sustaining commitment to help us build the new school, and this will continue in the future.

We thank donors for their commitment, and especially the Class Leaders for encouraging their peers to contribute: Mike and Monique McKee, Doug and Alice Clark, Carlos and Ana Estrada, Bruce Clark, Rob Carvahlo, Brian and Marilyn DeMuy, Hormus Karat, Kristina Forster and Lisa Ward.

Learning takes all kinds of shape here at school, and these photos celebrate our upper intermediate social club where students, support staff, teachers and even the principal explore ways in which we can develop friendships, foster respect and have fun – all at the same time!

We hear that there is a line-up of people wanting to join…

After praying, working hard, raising the necessary funds and waiting for many years, we are beginning the preparation for our new school.  On the last day of classes in December, just before our Christmas break, we awoke to a snowy city, and these photos represent the last day that the children were able to play on their playground.

Having a snowy day made it perfect – they loved making snowmen, building forts and just playing together.

With God’s blessings, and great leadership on the contractors side, we should have a wonderful new school for our Parish in the summer of 2015.

Future stories about our building project can be found on the PRINCIPAL’S BLOG, found in the upper lefthand corner of the front page of this website.
