This year’s Pass The Torch Gala, Keeping the Flame Alive, will honour the decades of giving and gratitude that has shaped our community and our school into what it is today and we invite you to celebrate this with us. If previous years’ events are an indication, you can expect to have a fantastic time!



Like all Catholic independent schools, St. Augustine’s School relies on fundraising to deliver our faith-filled, quality education in our new and expanding facility. Organized by a committee of parent volunteers, the Gala is a centerpiece of our annual giving program and is integral to providing our students with such opportunities. We invite all families to make a donation to the Gala by contributing an auction item and/or making a monetary gift. Even if you are unable to attend, we encourage you to donate.



Last year’s Gala raised $164,750 toward the completion of the school’s third floor. These enhancements, which are not covered by tuition, have a profound and measurable impact on your children’s educational experience and contribute significantly to our mission of providing a learning environment in which all students can thrive, grow and realize their potential as unique individuals.

We welcome your donation of goods and services in support of Pass the Torch. Some of the more popular items are home décor, electronics, small appliances, sporting equipment, software, gift baskets and just about anything you can think of for the home, family and home office.

Gift certificates include such services as gardening, accounting, interior decorating, health and wellness and spa getaways. Certificates for summer camps, art classes, dance, swimming, martial arts and others are popular items too. Tickets for concerts, games and special events are perennial favourites with auction bidders.
